Language is one of the means of communication. Being human we are bound to communicate, to interact. To make and enhance relations interaction is a must. It’s not necessary that it needs to be verbal, nonverbal is also equally effective. When we work as a team, the manager/ leader should be interactive and communicative. If he lacks this quality it may lead to misinterpretation and misunderstanding.A good Communicator should use verbal and non-verbal means efficiently for better results. Language is the major obstacle in correspondence. Incorporate sectors, even well-qualified persons can’t speak English fluently. Either they switch over to vernacular language or simply they stop abruptly. Just imagine a manager while addressing a meeting and switches over to a vernacular language. Though the message is conveyed, can we call it an effective transformation of the message?
Communication is a complete process in itself. The encoding of the message – message —decoding message. Without completion of the process, it cannot be effective. It is observed that English has become hindrance In an effective communication in written and in spoken due to the phobia of English.Language learning is something, not taken systematically. Learners of second and third language take deliberate efforts in learning a language other than mother tongue. In fact, it’s a natural process, the way a baby does. The baby just tries to listen the sound at the primary stage, and try to repeat it. Primarily there would be innumerable mistakes in pronunciation, grammar etc. but regular listening would help in minimizing mistakes gradually. Whereas informal learning other languages we start with writing alphabets, reading, and speaking but the less insistence is on listening. As a result, well educated are not able to interact effectively in an official [ English ] language, it ends at less effective communication. The problem isn’t limited to corporate but everywhere, as it is necessary to use proper dialect and proper methods of expression.
Simply a grin towards a colleague as a boss is a token of respect and way of expression. If you can speak properly and be effective then only the process is proper. The potential of a leader lies in listening ability so as to respond adequately. The response towards the subordinate increases confidence and respect among colleagues. Certainly, it reflects in their work. Minor changes In interaction would bring major impacts. Thence communication is called a bundle of skills.
Above all man is an animal, animals also interact but the only man uses language. If it’s so then why don’t we use it in a more dynamic way? After all, our language shows, What we are!
